As part of our service, we installed a custom body kit designed to enhance the Corniche’s elegance and performance. During the project, we encountered a few challenges that required our expertise to resolve. Here’s a breakdown of the issues we found and how we addressed them to ensure the Bentley Corniche received the perfect upgrade.
Issue Identified
1. Front Bumper Fitment Issues
Problem: The custom front bumper did not align perfectly with the existing bodywork, causing slight misalignments around the edges.
Solution: We meticulously re-adjusted the front bumper mounts and ensured a precise fit by re-engineering the mounting points. After securing the bumper in place, we performed a final inspection to ensure the alignment was flawless, resulting in a seamless and smooth connection between the bumper and body panels.
2. Paint Mismatch on New Body Kit Parts
Problem: The paint on some of the new body kit components did not exactly match the original Bentley Corniche color, which disrupted the visual flow.
Solution: Our skilled paint specialists mixed a custom color to match the exact Bentley Corniche shade. Using advanced paint matching technology, we applied a multi-layer finish that not only blended perfectly with the original paint but also added a durable, glossy protective layer that preserved the car’s aesthetic quality.
3. Side Skirt Installation and Alignment
Problem: The new side skirts did not sit flush against the lower body panels, resulting in a gap and uneven lines along the sides of the car.
Solution: Our team carefully adjusted the side skirts by trimming and modifying them to fit precisely along the vehicle’s contours. We ensured that the skirts were securely attached with high-strength fasteners and that they flowed smoothly along the body, creating a sleek, polished look that complemented the Corniche’s timeless design.
4. Rear Diffuser Clearance and Fitment
Problem: The rear diffuser, designed for improved aerodynamics, initially didn’t fit well, causing clearance issues with the exhaust system and bumper.
Solution: We re-engineered the diffuser mounts to ensure that it sat perfectly against the rear bumper. By fine-tuning the exhaust system and adjusting the diffuser’s position, we achieved optimal clearance. The final result not only improved the vehicle’s aerodynamics but also ensured a clean and tight fit.
5. Weight and Suspension Adjustment
Problem: The additional weight from the body kit components impacted the Corniche’s suspension, leading to slight changes in ride height and handling.
Solution: To compensate for the added weight, we recalibrated the Corniche’s suspension, adjusting shock absorbers and ride height to maintain optimal handling and driving comfort. This ensured that the vehicle’s performance remained top-tier, even with the added customizations.
