Challenges & Expert Solutions
1. Faded and Worn Leather Upholstery
Issue: The leather upholstery had deteriorated significantly over the years, with fading, cracks, and general wear that affected the car’s luxury appeal.
Solution: We treated the leather with premium conditioners to restore its texture and softness. For severely damaged sections, we replaced the leather with high-quality, period-correct hides, ensuring a seamless match to the original aesthetic. The result was a rich, supple leather interior that exuded luxury and comfort.
2. Discolored and Damaged Carpeting
Issue: The carpeting throughout the cabin and trunk had faded and developed stains, diminishing the overall interior appeal.
Solution: We replaced the old carpet with luxurious wool carpeting, custom-fitted to the car’s dimensions. The fresh carpet not only restored the vehicle’s aesthetic but also added to the interior’s luxurious feel. The color and texture were carefully chosen to match the original design, ensuring an authentic look.
3. Worn and Sagging Headliner
Issue: The headliner had become saggy and worn, which affected the overall appearance and comfort of the interior.
Solution: We installed a new, period-correct fabric headliner, ensuring it was fitted perfectly and wrinkle-free. This upgrade restored the cabin’s elegance, providing a smooth and refined ceiling that complemented the car’s design.
4. Outdated and Fading Trim Details
Issue: The trim pieces, including the dashboard and door handles, had suffered from fading and wear.
Solution: We carefully restored the wooden trim by sanding, polishing, and refinishing it to bring back its original luster. The metal trim was also restored, ensuring the parts were cleaned and polished to enhance the overall look of the interior.
