Challenges & Expert Solutions
1. Cracked and Worn Leather Upholstery
Issue: Over time, the leather upholstery on the seats had cracked, faded, and lost its softness due to exposure to sunlight and general wear.
Solution: We carefully restored the leather with premium conditioning treatments, ensuring it regained its natural suppleness. For severely damaged sections, we replaced the leather with high-quality, period-correct hides, carefully matching the color and texture to ensure consistency with the original design. The result was a smooth, luxurious finish that was both visually appealing and comfortable to the touch.
2. Flattened and Uneven Seat Cushions
Issue: The seat cushions had flattened over time, resulting in a lack of support and comfort, making long drives uncomfortable.
Solution: We meticulously rebuilt the cushions using high-density foam and traditional materials like horsehair, which not only restored the seats’ original form but also provided the necessary comfort and support for both driver and passenger.
