Kartal Auto is proud to have recently completed a full interior design restoration for the stunning Lamborghini 400 GT. During the project, our team discovered several key issues that needed to be addressed to ensure the interior matched the car’s legendary performance and luxury. Below are the five main issues we found and the expert solutions we implemented to transform this vehicle’s interior into a masterpiece.
Key Issues Found and Solutions:
- Outdated Dashboard Design
The original dashboard design had begun to look outdated, with aged gauges, worn-out buttons, and faded trim, which did not reflect the modern luxury expected of a Lamborghini.
Solution:
We completely redesigned the dashboard, restoring its original elements while integrating more modern, high-tech features such as digital gauges and intuitive control systems. We also refinished the dashboard with premium materials to restore its luxury appeal and enhance the overall aesthetic. - Worn and Deteriorated Door Panels
The door panels had experienced significant wear, with scratched surfaces, peeling leather, and discoloration, compromising the overall look and feel of the interior.
Solution:
We carefully stripped and reupholstered the door panels with high-quality leather and suede, ensuring a flawless finish. Additionally, we replaced worn-out trim and reconditioned any affected buttons and switches, returning the door panels to their original splendor. - Aging Upholstery and Fabric
The seats and upholstery had started to show signs of aging, with visible wear marks, fading, and loss of texture in key areas like the seat bolsters and armrests.
Solution:
We performed a complete reupholstery of the seats and trim, using top-grade leather and suede materials that were carefully matched to the original style. The seats were also restructured for added comfort and support, ensuring they matched the car’s performance and luxury standards. - Lack of Interior Lighting Features
The cabin lacked modern lighting features that provide both functional illumination and an upscale, atmospheric feel, leaving the interior somewhat dim and uninviting at night.
Solution:
We upgraded the interior lighting system by installing ambient LED lighting under the dashboard, around the door panels, and along the center console. This added a modern touch, improved visibility, and enhanced the overall ambiance of the Lamborghini 400 GT’s interior. - Outdated Infotainment System
The car’s infotainment system was outdated, with limited connectivity options and a less user-friendly interface that did not meet the expectations of modern drivers.
Solution:
We installed a state-of-the-art infotainment system that features a touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. This upgrade not only modernized the tech inside the Lamborghini but also ensured the driver had access to all the latest features for a seamless driving experience.
