At Kartal Auto, we take pride in providing top-tier automotive services, and our recent ceramic coating repair job on a Maserati Coupe in Dubai was no exception. During our meticulous inspection and repair process, we identified a few issues that were affecting the vehicle’s finish and overall performance. Here’s a summary of what we found, along with the solutions we applied to restore the vehicle to its pristine condition.

Issues Found:

      1. Surface Contamination The Maserati’s paint surface showed signs of contamination, including embedded dirt, industrial fallout, and water spots. These impurities can damage the ceramic coating and leave the paint vulnerable to wear and tear.
        Solution:
Our team performed a comprehensive decontamination wash, utilizing specialized clay bars and chemical treatments. This removed all embedded contaminants, ensuring a clean, smooth surface before reapplying the ceramic coating.

      1. Micro Scratches & Swirl Marks Upon inspection, we noticed numerous fine scratches and swirl marks on the car’s paintwork. These imperfections are often caused by improper washing techniques or environmental factors like dust and debris.
        Solution:
Using a combination of advanced polishing tools and products, we expertly buffed out the micro scratches and swirl marks. This restored the car’s glossy finish, making it appear as smooth as new, and ready for a fresh layer of ceramic protection.

      1. Ceramic Coating Degradation The existing ceramic coating had lost some of its hydrophobic properties, meaning water was not beading as effectively as before. This indicates that the coating had started to degrade over time due to exposure to harsh elements and improper maintenance.
        Solution:
We carefully removed the old, degraded ceramic coating using a safe and effective stripping solution. Then, we applied a high-performance ceramic coating, ensuring that the new layer provides long-lasting protection against water, dirt, and UV damage.

      1. Water Spotting & Etching The Maserati showed signs of water etching on the surface, which is common in areas with high mineral content in the water or when water is left to dry on the car for extended periods.
        Solution:
We treated the etching marks with precision, carefully removing the affected areas using a combination of polishing and specialized chemical treatments. This restored the car’s surface to its original shine without damaging the paintwork.

      1. Inconsistent Coating Application Upon close inspection, it was apparent that the original ceramic coating had not been applied evenly, resulting in patches where protection was thinner or completely missing.
        Solution:
We ensured a thorough, even application of the new ceramic coating across the entire vehicle. Using cutting-edge tools and techniques, we achieved a flawless, uniform layer of protection, ensuring every inch of the Maserati Coupe was properly shielded from contaminants.
