At Kartal Auto, we are passionate about enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of your vehicle. Recently, we completed a tinting job on a Maserati Coupe in Dubai, and while the process was successful, we encountered a few challenges along the way. Our team of experts quickly addressed these issues to ensure that the Maserati’s windows were tinted to perfection, providing the desired results.
Here’s a breakdown of the issues we found during the tinting process and how we resolved them:
Issue Found:
1. Existing Adhesive Residue
Issue:
During the tint removal process, we discovered adhesive residue from previous tinting applications. This can happen when older tint films were not properly removed, leaving behind sticky marks that can interfere with the new tint film’s adhesion.
Solution:
To address this, our team used a specialized adhesive remover that is safe for automotive windows. After carefully cleaning the glass, we ensured that all residue was completely removed, allowing the new tint film to bond perfectly with the window surface without any imperfections.
2. Uneven Tint Film Application
Issue:
After applying the tint film to the Maserati Coupe’s windows, we noticed that some sections of the tint appeared uneven, particularly around the edges of the windows. This can be caused by small air bubbles or irregularities during the installation process.
Solution:
To fix this, we used a high-precision installation method to gently lift the tint in affected areas and reapply it smoothly. Our team carefully used a squeegee to remove any air bubbles and ensure that the film was evenly applied. This ensured a flawless, uniform look across all windows.
3. Tint Bubbles and Wrinkles
Issue:
During the curing process, some bubbles and wrinkles formed beneath the tint film. This can occasionally happen if the tint isn’t applied under ideal conditions, such as slight dust particles or humidity in the environment.
Solution:
We carefully addressed this by carefully lifting the tint in affected areas and reworking the film with the help of a heat gun to make it more pliable. We then pressed the film down firmly to eliminate any bubbles or wrinkles. After this step, we allowed the tint to properly cure, ensuring the windows were perfectly smooth.
4. Color Mismatch in Tint Shades
Issue:
After applying the tint, we noticed a slight mismatch in tint shades on different windows, which can happen due to variations in the tint film or differences in how the tint film reacts on different glass surfaces.
Solution:
We addressed this issue by carefully selecting and matching the same shade of tint for all windows. We ensured that all the tint films were from the same batch and recalibrated the application to achieve a uniform and consistent tint shade across the vehicle. This way, the Maserati Coupe’s windows now have a sleek, coordinated look.
5. Improper Curing
Issue:
We observed improper curing of the tint film shortly after installation, which led to slight distortion in the windows. This can happen if the tint film hasn’t had enough time to fully set or if it was exposed to moisture too soon.
Solution:
To correct this, we ensured the car was placed in a climate-controlled environment to allow the tint film to cure properly. We also advised the vehicle owner to avoid rolling down the windows for a few days to ensure the film adhered securely. After proper curing, the tint film settled into place without any distortion.
